Meme Coins Surging - It's a Good Sign
Last week ShibaSwap (BONE) was the best-performing (Top 100) cryptocurrency, up 22% followed by Shiba Inu (SHIB), up 18%.
This week Shiba Inu (SHIB) makes the list again, up another 22.9% and even Pepe (PEPE) made the top 100 list, increasing by 9.9% this week.

Over the last two weeks, Shiba Inu (SHIB) tokens have been among the top-performing cryptocurrencies, while Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) have continued to move sideways (just up 1% over the last week).
On Thursday, Shiba Inu's trading volume hit a high of $315 million, the highest since February, and many crypto investors are buying these tokens in anticipation of the upcoming Shibarium launch.
Some bullish sentiment came from an announcement from developers as they said they would tie digital identity verification to all Shiba Inu developments, including the Shibarium release.
Dubbed self-sovereign identity, or SSI, these IDs are the digital version of traditional identity documents, like passports or driver’s licenses. The developers said there is rising interest in digital identities and data protection which could help position Shiba Inu as a more serious and compliant cryptocurrency project.

What we are seeing with SHIB is a wonderful pivot from a pure novelty token to a project with real-world value. One of the greatest assets behind the SHIB project is its community and matched with real-world utility, there is a lot of potential for additional growth in this project.

Bitcoin to $100,000 - Before Halving Event
Adam Back, a famous cryptographer who invented Bitcoin before Bitcoin (HashCash) and pioneered the development of Bitcoin's proof of work code, has recently bet 1,000,000 Satoshi's (on Twitter) that Bitcoin will reach $100,000 before the next halving (March 31, 2024).
Also during the week, PayPal announced the release of their own stablecoin (PYUSD) and Tether released their Q2 report, revealing staggering profitability - making them the most profitable crypto project in the world!
There are continuing to be a lot of significant developments taking place in the crypto space and while the markets are still moving sideways, now is the perfect time to be accumulating.

Shiba Inu (SHIB) +22.9% - Ranked #11
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is a decentralized "meme coin" cryptocurrency created in August 2020 by an anonymous entity known as "Ryoshi." Dubbed the 'Dogecoin killer,' has seen significant price fluctuations over the last few years.
There have been concerns have been raised about the concentration of the coin and frenzied buying by investors (dubbed, the Shiba Army). Despite its controversial nature, Shiba Inu has become an (in)famous part of the cryptocurrency landscape.
dYdX (DYDX) +10.16% - Ranked #96
dYdX (DYDX) is a decentralized trading platform and protocol built on Ethereum. It enables users to engage in margin trading and perpetual swaps for various cryptocurrencies with leverage. The platform operates in a non-custodial and decentralized manner, utilizing smart contracts for trade execution.
Users retain control over their funds throughout the trading process. The native DYDX token is used for governance and is separate from the assets being traded.
Pepe (PEPE) +9.9% - Ranked #75
Pepe (PEPE) is yet another meme coin that has made this list. It uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, making it more energy-efficient and Pepe's key features include scalability, security, privacy, and decentralization.
