It's Official - Bitcoin is Digital Gold

It's funny how narratives change over time.

Less than 10 years ago, Bitcoin and the crypto space at large were demonized by mainstream media claiming it was only criminals and people interacting in illegal transactions who would transact with it.

The banks and financial institutions claimed it was worthless and not backed by anything.

Just this week, Larry Fink the CEO of Blackrock, the largest asset management company in the world, a company with over $9 trillion in assets under management, in an interview talked about how Crypto is Digitized Gold.

Larry Find goes on to say,

It's digitizing gold. In many ways, instead of investing in gold as a hedge against
inflation, a hedge against the onerous problems of any one country, or the devaluation of your currency whatever country you're in. Let's be clear Bitcoin is an international asset. It's not based on any one currency and so it can represent an asset that people can play as an alternative.

The next big growth we will see within the crypto space will be when banks and institutions start investing in this space which is now happening.

Two weeks ago we saw a massive pump in the market after an announcement that Blackrock filed for a Bitcoin ETF. Increasingly we are seeing more financial institutions embrace cryptocurrency.

For the longest time, it has been hobbyists and speculators who invested in the crypto space. Now that we are seeing large banks and institutions interested, this massive inflow of potential capital will likely help to precipitate the next bull run.

We are expecting the next bull run within the crypto space to start around the fourth quarter of this year and this news by Blackrock has been a nice runup to it.
